Ashley Noseworthy is the founder and CEO of Edgewise Environmental and a Fellow of the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology (IMarEST). She holds a Master of Science in International Marine Environmental Consultancy from Newcastle University and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Memorial University of Newfoundland.With more than 15 years of offshore experience, Ashley has developed extensive expertise in marine acoustics, marine mammal mitigation, environmental monitoring, and regulatory compliance. She has held leadership roles on some of the world’s largest marine energy and offshore development projects.Ashley currently serves as Vice-Chair of Oceans Advance, sits on the IMarEST Marine Mammal Special Interest Group, and advises the Destination Canada Sustainability Task Force. Her contributions to the ocean sector have been recognized through numerous awards, including the Industry Champion Award from econext and TD Bank in 2025 and recognition among the Top 100 Inspirational Female Founders of Ocean and Energy in 2023.A passionate advocate for diversity and inclusion in STEM, Ashley actively supports the advancement of women and underrepresented groups within the ocean and environmental sectors.
